My wife and I moved to the Hobart area in 2014 from the Northern Rivers of NSW to enjoy the beautiful climate, scenery and more relaxed lifestyle and people here. We both enjoy being outside, either walking, swimming, kayaking, scuba diving or just going for a ride on my bike in my “down time”. I have also renovated a few homes a built my own and love doing all the work myself.
My other love is music and I was a singer in a rock’ n roll and blues band in NSW. I am looking for a band, so if anyone needs a singer, you have my number.
I spent my last 14 years in NSW as a real estate agent, and during that time, personally negotiated and placed about 350 properties under contract, an average of approximately 1 per fortnight. Since commencing in real estate in Tasmania in 2016, my average is just about intact – experience does count.
During my time in real estate, I have learned that the most important aspects of selling a property are regular communication between all relevant parties, being able to empathise with the stress both parties are under, and being able to negotiate the best possible price for the vendor. I regularly achieve more than the vendors are willing to accept.
After about 15 years in real estate, the aspects I enjoy the most are the look on the purchaser’s face when they have found their new home, and the knowledge that you have helped the vendor’s move on to the next stage of their lives.
